Through the late 1960’s and into the 1970’s the club continued to gather members, the main aims were (and remain) to increase public awareness of our sport, improve the standard of falconry practiced and protect falconry for the future.
With The proposed government registration scheme being introduced in the late 1970’s, NEFC worked tirelessly to protect its members interests and to ensure as much as possible that this new legislation would not threaten falconry.
The club was able to positively influence the final legislation draft and the outcome for falconers nationally, may have been considerably worse without the efforts of the NEFC and other clubs efforts on their behalf.
